Embrace the season you’re in!
I’m writing you this note from a much-needed break and some well-deserved vacation mode.
As many of you know, I’m a growth-oriented person to my core. I genuinely believe that life is a sacred gift—an absolute blessing, a spiritual journey—if we choose to live each day as a conscious experience. I often say, “Life is like a walking meditation, a spiritual practice; you don’t need to seek it, it lives within you.”
A full life is one that’s lived intentionally—with awareness, purpose, and presence.
We weren’t placed here to float in comfort forever. This life was gifted to us so we could stretch the limits of our human potential and discover what we’re truly capable of. Challenging those cozy, safe zones? That’s what keeps us feeling alive. That’s the growth zone.
While we’re here, we can either choose to be fully CONSCIOUS and ALIVE—or we can settle into patterns and distractions that leave us feeling emotionally numb long before we reach life’s actual end. And honestly, that’s no way to live while we’re alive.
Conscious living is about seeking growth, which naturally brings change, transition, and tiny, intentional tweaks along the way. That doesn’t mean breaks aren't necessary. There’s wisdom in honoring the stages, phases, and cycles of our lives.
Slow, gradual progress is where true transformation lives. It’s something I remind myself—and my clients—often. It doesn’t happen overnight. It’s about showing up with small, consistent actions that accumulate over time and gently shape your life’s evolution.
As someone deeply committed to personal growth, I strive to overcome fears and challenges in pursuit of becoming my best self and living life to the fullest—though I’ve noticed that sometimes, I push myself too far. That perfectionist side kicks in, and I find myself applying intense pressure that doesn’t always serve me. It’s led me to regularly ask myself a powerful question—one inspired by my business coach, Kelsey Reidl:
What season of life am I in?
This question applies to every corner of life—not just business or goal setting.
Goals are important. They give direction. They help us focus our energy and momentum toward something meaningful. But when life becomes only about goals, it can feel too intense, too demanding.
Sometimes, it’s nice to just be.
Lately, after asking myself this question repeatedly, I’ve realized I’m in a down season. Think: winter. I’m done striving and gathering. What I crave now is stillness. Presence. To love this exact moment and embrace what is. I’m not pushing. I’m not rushing. I trust that what I need to work on will get done—in time. There are no timelines, no pressure, no deadlines. Just a desire to honor where I am and allow it to unfold beyond the limits of time.
So whether you’re working toward a fitness goal, a massive project, or simply resting in a season of comfort—every stage is valid. What matters is: are you okay with where you are?
Let me ask you: What season of life are you in right now?
And you can often relate this to the natural beauty of nature's rhythms—the seasons.
Spring (blossoming, booming and ramping up)
Summer (flourish in beauty and enjoyment)
Fall (organizing, gathering & winding down to get ready)
Winter (hibernation & chill mode)
Spring
represent rebirth, new beginnings and growth
signifies a time of awakening, fresh inspiration and potential for new endeavors in one’s spiritual journey
Summer
Embodies abundance, joy and expansion
a period of outward expression, manifestation, and experiencing the fruits of previous efforts
can also represent periods of challenge and testing, requiring patience and gratitude
Fall
Symbolizes reflection, change, and letting go
season that requires introspection, evaluation of one’s path, and release of what no longer serves you
a time to acknowledge both successes and failures to prepare for the next phase
Winter
represents rest, introspection, and inner work
a time to withdraw, recharge, and deepen one’s connection with the divine
can be a challenging period, but also profound learning and preparation for the future
“These spiritual interpretations of the seasons highlight the cyclical nature of life, encouraging individual to embrace each phase, learn from it, and find meaning in both the flourishing and the challenging times. Just as nature moves through cycles, so does the human spirit, experiencing periods of growth, decline and renewal.”
I believe we must learn how to die before we literally do. That inner death—the shedding of old versions of ourselves that no longer serve—makes way for the rebirth of the future self that does. It's the truest expression of a life cycle.
So yes, there’s absolutely a time to dwell in your comfort zone—especially when happiness lives there or when rest is necessary. Just don’t mistake that phase for your forever. It’s a season. It’s part of your journey.
Living consciously will liberate you from the hamster wheel, from the illusion of “keeping up,” from the race to nowhere. It’s a call to reflect, to pause, to ask yourself: What do I actually want out of this life?
Are you truly LIVING while you’re alive—or are you just passing through the motions on autopilot?
